Welcome to MPGC Online

The Minnesota Planned Giving Council is the professional association for people whose work includes developing, marketing and administering charitable planned gifts. Our members include fund-raisers for nonprofit organizations and institutions as well as consultants and professional advisors working in a variety of profit settings. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education and training of planned giving specialists, fund-raisers and professional advisors, and to raising public awareness of charitable giving overall and planned giving specifically.

PPP’s President and CEO, Tanya Howe Johnson, was recently honored with a Special Service Award by the Minnesota Planned Giving Council.

The award was presented at the council’s 35th Annual Conference, where Johnson was the closing keynote speaker. Craig Wruck, former PPP chair and recipient of both PPP’s Distinguished Service Award and MPGC’s Clinton A. Schroeder Distinguished Service Award presented the award on behalf of MPGC.

Message from the Chair

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as Chair of your Minnesota Planned Giving Council I know I speak for fellow board members when I tell you it's a privilege to lead and represent our remarkable organization.

We have a lot to be proud of. For more than 40 years, MPGC has been among the largest and most respected councils of our national organization, the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning. Our 350 members include fund-raising professionals from non-profit organizations large and small; as well as attorney's, CPA's, and other licensed advisors who share an interest in helping their clients invest assets into organizations that improve our communities. We host a remarkable two-day conference that draws national speakers and participants from all over the mid-west. Our morning breakfasts and seminars are well attended and score highly on satisfaction surveys. MPGC offers rewarding mentor and networking opportunities with the best and brightest in our field. Finally, our organization is financially solid and well managed.
